Future Air

Future Air

We were contacted in 2005 to update a website for a flight school on Georgian Bay, in Ontario. The previous site was clunky and extremely out of date visually, and it wasn't earning the company any money. Not only did the owners want a visual update, they also wanted a functional improvement so that members of the company and their clients could log on to book planes, get resources and lessons, and interact with their instructors.

We spent 3 months on this project, and delivered a website with the following features:

  • A clean, modern layout that is easy to read and navigate
  • A multi-level private member area, with access restricted based on user permission
  • A method for tracking pilot hours, adhering to complex rules
  • A fully functional booking system with reports on measurable criteria
  • A complex file management system for uploading and maintaining class documents
  • Full Search Engine Optimization for the target demographics

The updated Future Air website has increased business for the flight school significantly, and places within the top 3 search results for all its target demographics.

Having already provided them with a website whose functionality is extremely competitive, in 2012 they contacted us a second time to refresh the look of their website to something more modern. In the span of one month we updated their website to make use of the new CSS3 standards, as well as providing them with a custom Content Management System to help them maintain their site.

Testimonial

"I've looked at what other flight schools have, and none of them have anything remotely close to what we have. The online booking system and the staff backend are miles ahead of what everyone else is doing, and the new layout is a dramatic improvement on what was already an excellent website." - David Marks, Owner of Future Air
